What can you expect at AFA?

Upon your arrival…

As a guest at AFA, you will be greeted by others who are also on the journey of following Christ.  Each week you will have opportunity to take part in an uplifting and encouraging time of singing praise to God, there will be people to agree with you in prayer, and you will hear a life-application message from the Bible.

Every young person will be ministered to in a safe environment. On Sunday mornings at 9:30 there are Sunday School classes for every age group and at 10:30 there is a Kids Service for children ages 5 through the 5th grade. There are also ministries available for infants through age 4.

Connecting Point

Sunday mornings at 9:30, you have an opportunity to learn about the vision of AFA, our church’s core values, and how you can grow in a relationship with Christ. It’s a great way to connect with new people at Aberdeen First Assembly and get to know Pastor Gary, our Lead Pastor.

Wednesday Nights

On Wednesday evenings at 7 pm, ministry for children and youth happen throughout the campus.  A nursery area is provided for infants through 4 year olds, and the Rainbows class is for boys and girls of pre-school age.  For children Kindergarten through 6th Grade there is small group ministry with fun and hands on activities.  For young people in grades 7 through 12 grade there is OneCause Youth Ministry.  (click here)

For adults on Wednesday nights, there is the “Women of the Word” Bible Study or another Adult Bible Study for men and women (to learn more click on either ministry).

Life Groups:

Life Groups at AFA are all about relationships…people connecting with other people. Life Groups are smaller group fellowships that meet around the first weekend of each month in homes or local restaurants.  Most groups have a time for food and good conversation.  Groups also spend time connecting in God’s Word.  We want you to become more connected with others…that’s why we have Life Groups!
